📍 Itinerary: Fes to Merzouga 3 Day Desert Tour
Your driver will pick you up early from your hotel or riad in Fez. We start our journey crossing the Middle Atlas, passing through Ifrane — known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” — and the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may see Barbary monkeys.
Continue toward Midelt, where you will enjoy free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we follow the road through the dramatic Ziz Valley, famous for its enormous palm groves, before arriving in the Sahara desert of Merzouga.
Upon arrival, you will switch to camels and ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to reach your desert camp.
Dinner and overnight in a traditional or luxury desert camp, with music around the fire and an unforgettable starry sky.
After watching the sunrise over the dunes, enjoy breakfast at the camp. You will ride the camels (or take a 4×4 transfer) back to the village of Merzouga where your driver awaits.
We begin the return journey through Rissani, known for its traditional souk, and Erfoud, famous for fossil workshops. We continue through the Middle Atlas, passing again by palm valleys, mountains, and Berber villages.
