📅 4-Day Itinerary – New Year’s Eve in Morocco 2026 from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
Early departure from your hotel or riad in Marrakech towards the south of Morocco.
You will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), enjoying breathtaking landscapes and traditional Berber villages along the way.
Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for iconic movies and series such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” before heading to the Dades Valley, traveling along the legendary Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.
🍽️ Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional riad or hotel in the Dades Valley.
After breakfast, depart towards the impressive Todra Gorges, a dramatic rock canyon with towering walls rising over 300 meters high.
Enjoy a walk through the valley and take in the stunning natural scenery before continuing to Erfoud, famous for its fossils and traditional date market.
In the afternoon, arrive at the Merzouga Desert, where camels will be waiting to take you on a sunset camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Upon arrival at the Berber desert camp, you will be welcomed with traditional mint tea, live music, and a special New Year’s Eve dinner under the stars.
