7 Days Trip From Fez to the Sahara Desert Marrakech

Day 1 : ARRIVAL IN FES
Arrival at Fez airport, reception by our staff and night in a hotel / Riad.
Day 2 : VISIT OF THE CITY OF FEZ
After breakfast, guided tour in the city of Fez, where you will discover its medina, the largest and oldest in the Arab world, Fez is one of the four imperial cities of Morocco and the spiritual and cultural capital of the Kingdom. You will have the chance to visit the religious, artistic and intellectual center of the country, the Cherratine and El-Attarine medersas (construction dedicated to religious study and decorated in Arabic style), the University of Karaouiynes (first university in the world) and the Fountain of the Nejjarine. After lunch, visit the different souks differentiated by handicrafts such as the famous neighborhood of the tanners, and the Mechouar of the Royal Palace. Night in a hotel / Riad.
Day 3 : FES – IFRANE – MONKEY FOREST – MIDELT – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT
After breakfast we will head to the desert of Merzouga, not without first crossing the Middle Atlas and then passing through a beautiful national park known for its cedar forest where the famous Barbary apes are found. Then we will go through the Ziz Valley that will lead us to Erfoud, known for its fossils and for its magnificent views, in this place various scenes from the movie about the mummy were filmed. Arrival in the desert, specifically in Merzouga, known as the jewel of the desert, due to its beautiful views and its immense dunes where we will change the 4x4 for dromedaries with which we will enter with a pleasant sunset walk through the dunes until we reach the haimas camp in the heart of the desert, where we will be received, according to the tradition of the Sahara, with a Berber tea, dinner and live music with drums. Night in haimas under the stars of the desert.
Day 4 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ERFOUD – TODRA GORGE -DADES VALLEY
We will enjoy the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience watching the sunrise over the desert dunes. Then we will return to Merzouga on dromedaries and after a shower and breakfast we will go by 4x4 to Tinghir "The mountain city" in Tamazight, another beautiful Berber town where we will delight ourselves with the contrast of its palm groves and its pink-painted houses. We will follow the route and the landscape will show us its contrasts, reaching the Todra gorges formed by rocky walls over 200 m high and with a crystal clear river that runs through them. After visiting them, we will go to the Dades Valley, a Berber town also famous for its towering gorges, its beautiful landscapes and its views of the Atlas, now on the horizon. Night in riad / hotel.
Day 5 : DADES VALLEY – VALLEY OF ROSES – AÏT BEN HADDOU - TICHKA – MARRAKECH
We will start the day crossing the Dades Valley and the Valley of the Roses, until we reach Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, which due to its importance, its architecture and its decoration, is one of the most beautiful in Morocco. It has the honor of having been the largest residence of the Glaoui, the "Pacha" of Marrakech. After 25 km of road we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a spectacular town of clay and stone with buildings surrounded by large walls, an aspect that makes it one of the most beautiful places in Morocco, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and It is also famous for being the scene of cinematographic blockbusters such as the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Gladiator” or “Babel” among others. Once visited, we will follow the road that crosses the Tichka pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco, with more than 2,260 meters of height and impressive views that will lead us to the "Red City" of Marrakech, another of the cities Moroccan Imperials. Free time to discover the famous Jamaa el Fna Square, in the heart of the medina, declared a Universal Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, an amalgam of aromas, sounds and sensations that are difficult to repeat and its adjoining alleys with an endless number of small divided bazaars by sectors, spices, shoemakers, blacksmiths, jewelers… Accommodation in hotel / riad.
Day 6 : VISIT OF MARRAKECH
After breakfast we will proceed to a guided tour of Marrakech. Numerous are the monuments that will be visited: Bahia Palace, Jemaa el Fna Square, Saadian Tombs, souks and the Koutoubia Mosque. Free afternoon and night in hotel / Riad.
Day 7 : MARRAKECH – TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT
After breakfast and at the indicated time, transfer to the airport. End of our services and our tour of Morocco.
