Day 1: Marrakech To Zagora Desert Through High Atlas Mountains, Ouarzazate And Draa Valley
First day for our Marrakesh sahara tour 2 days to zagora. Our driver it will come to pick you up from the aiport or hotel and from there we are going to start driving heading to zagora . departure to the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi N’Tichka with panoramic views, where we can see many Berber villages that are in this region. We will continue to the south and we will turn off onto a track of 6 km that leads to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou. We will visit its famous Kasbah (Declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1986). In this spectacular setting they have been filmed several famous films like Gladiator, Obelix, Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penelope Cruz … etc. Lunch in the village and in the afternoon we will continue towards Zagora via the mountains of Anti Atlas making a few stops to take pictures. In 2 hours drive we will arrive at our destination, Zagora Desert, about 17h or so. Leave the car to ride camels for a 1 hour tour and head for Camps to attend sunset. After dinner we will enjoy Berber drums music. Overnight in the nomad camp in the heart of the desert under the stars.
Day 2 : Zagora – Draa valley – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Tizi-N-Ticha - Marrakech
Second day for our Marrakesh sahara tour 2 days to zagora. We will wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise on the dunes near the camp. Breakfast and return on camels to the town of Zagora to get in our car towards the Draa Valley, where we will make several stops to enjoy this beautiful valley that runs along the river of the same name. It is the longest river in Morocco and cross the whole country to Mauritania for more than 240km. We will cross the Anti Atlas to reach Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, Film Studies and Film Museum if desired.
